I have seen parrots on tons of boats in the movies. Does anyone actually have a bird onboard? It seems like a bird could creativly cause some extra work for boaters. I have never met anyone with a parrot on board, has anyone else? It could make for some interesting stories.. The bird did it.. All large birds I have met in my life have been incredibly smart and mischevious.
Are parrots just old tales that used to be on boats back in the day or current day?

Greetings from David and Jackie now in Nova Scotia. We met a boating parrot on our way home. How exciting we thought as they pulled into a slip next to ours. 'Remo' was beautiful and such fun to talk to and listen to .......... however when her parents left her alone she spent the entire time screeching 'hello, hello, mom, mom' in her very loudest voice. The entire marina breathed a sigh of relief when they returned. Have to be very careful around a parrot too - they pick up words very quickly!
